The Internet is buzzing this afternoon with the revelation that 5 milllion Google Accounts/Passwords have been leaked online; originally to several Russian forums.
Coincidentally, a Russian hosted website “isleaked.com” was created 2 days ago and allows people to check if their account is on the list. The website does work and shows you the first 2 characters of the leaked password. However, nothing is known about the websites creator.
Most press is recommending you use the website to check. BMT recommends you don’t.
It seems to us this could be a ploy to verify what accounts on the list are still actively in use.
Instead this news serves as a reminder to change your Gmail password.
